Cut the thread cleanly, and wet the end you just cut.

Hold the wetted end of the thread between your thumb and forefinger.

Line up the eye of the needle with the end of the wetted thread.

Gently push the eye of the needle onto the thread and pull the thread through the eye.

Now you are ready to make some tie-dye designs!
